About LC4L

Liberty Center for Learning provides families with quality education in a small, private school setting. LC4L is a private education institution in Boise Idaho. LC4L is At LC4L, there is the flexibility and freedom that homeschoolers enjoy, allowing customization of each student’s academic needs to best assist in and progress in learning.

Monday-Thursday, the academic focus at Liberty Center for Learning are the traditional 3R’s as well as unrevised history, creation-based science, technology, art appreciation. LC4L meets each day from 8:10am.-2:00pm Monday – Thursdays. Fridays there will be optional field trip and enrichment days.

Pacing for each student is individualized and customized according to their learning strengths. Ability and performance determines the rate a student progresses rather than strictly using a grade level placement. Quarterly assessments will determine the child’s progress with input from the child’s parents to assist in directing their child’s educational goals.

Flexibility in Schedule allows students to participate in extracurricular activities and learning options. LC4L is a fit for the competitive athlete, for the homeschool family or for those new to the private education opportunity.

Founder, Sandra Vernon, has been teaching for over 21 years. 10 were in the public school setting and 11+ in the private education setting. With a passion for learning, one of Sandra’s goals is to ignite and perhaps installs this lifestyle into her students. She instructs with grace and extends this to her students. She encourages her students to “think outside of the box”, use logic and reason, to try new things, to make mistakes and learn from them; to get back up and try again.

Our kids have been schooling with LC4L for a year and it’s been astonishing to see their growth! Sandra is very intentional with learning time and makes their learning environment fun every day. Since LC4L doesn’t focus on grade levels, our kids have been able to work through curriculum at a pace that’s right for them and they’ve been positioned to learn and absorb information that wouldn’t have been presented to them in public schools at their age. Our family loves that the kids don’t need to be in school 30+ hours per week and buried in homework, giving them time to pursue extra- curriculars and still ENJOY their education!

Our children have enjoyed nearly a full year of instruction with Sandra (we started late). Our kids enjoy Sandra’s delivery of lessons and we see their progress in this small education setting. Our kids look forward to their time with her and they are seeing that schooling does need to be hours of drudgery and seat time, but rather their schooling can be efficiently completed which allows them more freedom. They have ample time to enjoy extra-curricular pursuits as well as time with friends and socialization.
